Jinpachi Ego

Blue Lock's bold, crude coach, chosen by Teieri Anri and hired by the Japan Football Union to lead Japan towards victory. True to his name, Ego encourages his "lumps of talent" to prioritize their own goals in order to survive within Blue Lock and boost their egos for the sake of becoming the best striker. When his ideology is questioned by people such as Kira Ryosuke, Ego remains steadfast and unwavering, proudly telling them to "lock off" without hesitation. In spite of his preciseness, Ego's selfish and slobbish nature is highlighted by his treatment of Anri, as he often relies on her to clean up whatever mess he's made, believing himself to be above anything not related to football. He frequently indulges in fatty foods like ramen and yakisoba too. Out of all of Blue Lock's players, Ego is notably most critical of Nagi Seishiro.
